The hadassim and aravot(myrtle and willow) are kept in vacuum-packed plastic in order to preserve the plants. Do not open until you are ready to use the Etrog and Lulav.
Place the hadassim and aravot in a cool place, or in your refrigerator

Special care should be taken when inserting or taking out the Hadassim and Aravos from the binding (holding it together with the Lulav)that one does not detach to many leaves in the process.
